Dr. Kanak Kanti Bagchi is currently serving as Professor at the Department of Economics, University of North Bengal, Darjeeling, West Bengal, India. His areas of research interest are sustainable development, livelihood security, informal sector labour, issues of poverty and inequality, social and economic policy, human development, and local development.
