Devika Chonira Madappa holds a doctorate in Economics and a Post Graduate diploma in Environmental Law. She is currently Senior Consultant at the Agricultural Development and Rural Transformation Centre, Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bengaluru, India. Her recent areas of research focus on sustainability of coffee value chains, impact of weather advisory services, recreational value of butterfly parks and ecotourism. Her publications include a co-authored paper on the perceptions of climate variability and adaptive strategies among traditional coffee growers of India, in the Journal Climate and Development (Taylor & Francis).
